Having watched all three of my brothers off to Vietnam and being very, VERY good friends with an Air Force vet, I knew exactly what FUBAR meant. Upon seeing nothing more than the photo of Ah-nold with a five-day growth puffing gleefully on a fat stogie, I thought to myself, "this might be good."
I thought right.
Wife and I binged the first four episodes the first night -- Tuesday, 6 June, I believe -- and only shut it off because of the late hour and a pending 6:30 a.m. alarm.
Not going to go into characters and how they're played -- except to say I fell in love with her in "Life In Pieces," but Fortune Femister is one of the funniest people around -- but I simply can't say enough about this series.
Arnold is at his wise-cracking best as he tries to save the world AND his daughter from destruction, but there are moments of drama as well so you're riding an emotional roller-coaster from start to finish.
There are so many things about this that it could almost be a True Lies follow-up, but not a sequel: Working man working undercover for the CIA; a clueless wife; a team of highly intelligent but snarky helpers who really do help. And, of course, the love stories, one between father and daughter but the other between two of the supporting cast, with "help" from Roo (Feimster).
Can't wait to see the Final Four episodes and then --- PLEASE, PLEASE, PLEASE --- another season.
Enjoy
