Von Trier was my favorite Director at one point. I really like all of his film except Nymphomaniac and my expectations were low for this film. I was wrong to expect the worst. I thought it was a great new take on the topic and Dillon was really good in it. I could have done without the duckling scene although it is effective showing character development.
