Painful. This movie tries so hard but there is zero character or plot development. It's gross, blasphemous, gay agenda-ed, lacking meaning or soul, nonsensical at points, depressing, and ultra violent but without the pleasure of watching a Bruce Lee type / real martial artistry. Most importantly - lanky, patrician faced, soft eyed Dev Patel is not believable in this role. Indians, you don't have to love every movie with an Indian lead ... Hollywood pays for scripts that put other cultures and religions in a distorted, orientalized light. Note that the movie begins by bashing Hindus and Muslims, and propping up Christianity (in a nonsensical way). That's where the agenda and distortion reveal themselves. You'll want to leave 45min in.
