I usually enjoy religious and psychological horror, police procedurals, and serial killer media, but this movie just didn’t hit the mark in any of those areas. The pacing felt off, the dialogue and story seemed rushed, and some scenes didn’t make much sense. On top of that, Martin Lawrence didn’t bring the right energy for this role. That said, I’ll give credit where it’s due—the set design was stunning in places, and the lead actress delivered a solid performance. I was truly hoping for more than what was given.
