I have Complex Regional Pain Syndrome (CRPS) and honestly, the struggles are debilitating. But understanding what I am going through and pain as a whole new concept with more education around it and your brain and body makes mental health feel a little more at ease.
Having pain you don't entirely understand and many doctors fail to understand or validate is not healthy and can lead to stress, uneasy feelings and then more pain.
I highly recommend this book for everyone not just those with pain, as it discusses much more than pain but the communication within your body to your brain and back to your body in a way it has never been explained before.
