The show relies on too many plot twists and red herrings and yet, VERA keeps me wanting for the next chapter. Vera is not entirely likeable and treats her team with little care. Her tenacity is respected by all and this, though it does not necessarily exonerate her bad manners, it allows her room for some sympathy. Her complexity puts the program at the top of the list. I am tempted to get the whole 10 series.
