Well acted, well written w/loop back full scene story telling that cleverly paces well, well budgeted w/reasonable effects for TV Sci-Fi, and the location filming, as I understood outside of SK, all made for a compelling time-travel tale less the linear weakness inherent of the genre. I've only gotten 10eps into my binge and am looking forward to my personal viewing loop backs on this to assure I saw and heard what I did as I so do. This has been most engaging. Many thanks to the show's team effort to bring this to us.

Twisted (w/logic out the window), dark comedy cloaked as thriller/mystery that yearns for "just flow w/it or blind acceptance" of it all, but as of ep4 a fun romp. Honestly, being in an altered state would not help you keep on track, nor make it better, tho I can't say it wouldn't.

5.0 since there no 4.5. It's a violent show that drops us in they create a thumbnail history as to who's behind the greed and violence in a little town in Georgia that goes awry and wonky all of a sudden. I liked that it took a while to get to the bottom of the worst and most heinous murders that seems to have eclipsed the town folk into a paranoid state all their own. The action to get the bad guys is richly carried out and spread out enough to have kept me in to watch to the end. It doesn't have to be great but good enough that viewers can watch and glean a lot of satisfaction from a larger arc story with a few smaller then some smaller still to keep it supported across 8 eps. It does seem empty caloried but not everything has to count. Clearly.

Not a bad series, tho it begs the viewer to challenge precepts of time travel, much as did "12 monkeys" which lost its way under that burden; tho i wonder if they started with the most emotional element and built from there, being the most unique. I was intrigued that time travel is clearly difficult by being claustrophobic long, squeezy tunnels of dirt only to open oven - sized doors once a breaching portal is reached. If you draw yourself a string board that reveals the secrets thus found would it make more sense than stumbling onto realities that don't? They did a good job writing, casting, location, filming, but for me I'm having friends watch it so we can have conversations behind it to see where we land on the theories they draw from precepts and anything else they find noteworthy. This is a recommendation to have your own knowledge of time travel challenged. Non-linear storytelling so keep notepad ready.😆

This the kind of show many of us require 2-3 eps to have enough unfold to allows us access and stay the course, and to those of us for whom the build up is a love letter in fine drama writing each time, we send love and appreciation right back. I hear there should be a Season 2 coming in August, I am looking forward to it and am letting my viewer friends to be ready. Anyone that has yet to have seen it, watch the complete first season, story complete, to watch at your leisure. Deep writing skills, leaving no plot holes to point out, makes "Stranger" as must watch.

It's been a long time since I've watched a drama with so much engaging plot, it reminded me of The Tofu Family drama, with less episodes.🤔😃😢🤯
