The opening scene of a single mother (Lindsay Lohan) living in a dark and dreary house was starling and depressing.
Adding to the depression, the very handsome Chad Michael Murray is brought back not to be with Lohanโs character, but instead to still have a crush on Curtis 20 years later. Weird and unrealistic given where first one left off. Better would have been to have kept Lohan and Murray together.
Curtisโs wig was terrible! Should have maintained her real life short hairstyle.
The double switch identities was chaotic and unnatural given that Lindsay Lohan and the actress who played her daughter, looked and acted too close in age, unlike Jamie Lee Curtis and Lindsay Lohan.
A better storyline may have been to have the character of Anna trade places with original antagonistic snobby former classmate Stacey Hinkhouse (as now a neighbor or co-worker) and Tess trade places with one of her outrageous patients.
The way the storyline unfolded felt forced and rarely funny. Poorly directed.
They had the opportunity to make something great with this and blew it! A mess and disappointment!
The reunion of almost all of the characters was the sole highlight but unfortunate in their use.
