Be aware before watching this film, it is not for the sensitive light hearted viewer. The friendship that develops between the 2 main characters is slowly and subtlety crafted to the point where it drew me in so deeply, that when things start to go pear shaped, I felt a deep sense of discomfort and sadness. Usually I couldn't care less about characters in a film because they are so often thin veneers or caricatures, but these are beautiful written and performed. Its stunningly shot with contrasting natural beauty and ugly suburbia. Its emotionally intense, powerful and tragic. I am still thinking about it now days latter.
