Life is But a Dream… shows how the bad can do whatever they want and make it sound like a real adventure. This band got a lot of hate for their 2013 album “Hail To The King” for their song’s similarities to popular metal bands and have been labeled copy cats ever since. They even said themselves it was ti pay homage to the bands before them and understood if they wanted to, they could make the same album a few more times and become bigger stars and sell platinum records. However, they chose to go another route and do what they wanted. This album definitely takes a bit getting used to. A few listens are required but with how unique they blend of their heavy metal and experimental elements makes it feel fresh. Love their efforts and desire to try something different and make people caught off guard with their tempo changes, unorthodox guitar sounds and many many many voice effects. It’s not for everyone especially casual fans but if you enjoy A7X that much, i think you will begin to slowly enjoy the work and thought they put into each and every song
