Ya know those movies... the ones that end and you feel as if you just watched another's life and it touched you in some way? And you need more... so you Google comments and reviews or you ck to see if a sequel is coming out... This movie, for me. No, maybe Peppermint wasn't John Wick. But it was way better than I thought it would be. To push back on one review I kept seeing: Uh, yeah, JG's family was gunned down by the Mexican cartel. She will be destroying the MEXICAN cartel. But hold on now, there was plenty of balance. The hero detective and lead FBI agents were both of color. The richy b****y suburban neighbor was white. The bad cop was white. I think all roles were balanced and well suited.
Jennifer Garner, a timid, sweetheart, playing the part of a momma ready to take down the sins committed against her family. As a mom of three little girls, I was impressed. Thank you, Chad, St John!
