Another viewer said it best; I believe her name was Linda Jones: "Here are my main concerns: there is a lack of journalistic news, lack of depth, and increasing bias. I was disheartened when Charlie Rose left, although I understand why. He could interview anybody; and there was depth to his stories. John Dickerson was a good replacement. He seemed kind, had a journalistic background; but as others have mentioned, he didn't get much airtime. Thank goodness he is going to 60 Minutes. But it is the increasing bias that bothers me most. This is supposed to be a NEWS SHOW, not an 'I don't care for your opinion show,' especially political opinions. I don't agree with some of them either, but I'm in my living room; you're getting paid to communicate the news and to, at least, treat the conveyors of these opinions with respect. Please bring some of the dignity, depth, and diversity of news (not all this pop culture stuff) back." Take heed...most of the others have said the same in different ways. As another mentioned, ratings are not the end all be all. Maybe for you, executives, because you are competing with the others. But maybe you had a niche that needed to be filled that wasn't with the other inane network morning shows. I once worked for a very niche magazine that was competing with Vogue and Bazaar. The executives wanted the same advertising as them and to some extent they were correct. But if you are a niche, not all the ads fit your psychographic. So guess what? The magazine died. Think about your audience. Oh, and by the way, Jeff Glor was great and where is he now. Yes, I like Norah and look forward to seeing her. But I hope she doesn't go the way of Katie Couric.
