I cannot wait for Morbius 2: More-bius.
Hollywood and the entire global cinema industry has been put into a standstill as directors, producers, and cinema enthusiasts everywhere must now cope with a paradigm shift that this industry has never experienced at such a scale. Jared Leto, as Morbius, delivers a well-rounded performance as the anti-hero, scientist turned vampiric superhuman, Michael "the Morbster" Morbius. Of course, though much credit goes to Jared Leto's phenomenal ability, we must also give credit to the masterful screenplay and writing of the movie. Without such quality characterization found in Morbius, Jared Leto would never have been able to express the true, profound significance, of Michael "the Morbalizer" Morbius's, deep, relatable, and tragic background story. It stands as common belief that Michael "god" Morbius' monologue where he mentions that "...it becomes necessary for one people to dissolve the political bands which have connected them with another, and to assume among the powers of the earth, the separate and equal station to which the Laws of Nature and of Nature's God entitle them, a decent respect to the opinions of mankind requires that they should declare the causes which impel them to the separation..." should not only win him an oscar, but a grammy for his musical intonations, a pulitzer prize for his involvement and intiative in contributing to the writing, an emmy for the countless tv spinoffs that will undoubtedly occur, and a Nobel peace prize for solving the Ukraine-Russia crisis.
I actually heard that President Zelenskyy had an online screening of Morbius with a Russian delegation that ended up in the two parties creating a peace treaty that has yet to be ratified but has been drafted at least 12 morbillion times.
Recently, a scientific study has been revealed to be conducting experiments into how they can use audio bites from the Morbius movie to create a form of audio-meditative therapy that has the potential to cure migraines, and in the future, possibly prevent aneurysm bursts, and cure tumors and brain cancer. One of the study's prospective audio bites to be used is the 7 minute scene in which Morbius spent moaning in the ear of Tyrese Gibson's character Simon Stroud, ending it with one of Morbius' one liners, "It's mighty Morbin time."
To be fair, you have to have a very high IQ to understand Morbius. The humour is extremely subtle, and without a solid grasp of theoretical physics most of the jokes will go over a typical viewer's head. There's also Morbius' nihilistic outlook, which is deftly woven into his characterisation- his personal philosophy draws heavily from Narodnaya Volya literature, for instance. The fans understand this stuff; they have the intellectual capacity to truly appreciate the depths of these jokes, to realise that they're not just funny- they say something deep about LIFE. As a consequence people who dislike Morbius truly ARE idiots- of course they wouldn't appreciate, for instance, the humour in Morbius' existential catchphrase "With great power, comes only Morbius," which itself is a cryptic reference to Turgenev's Russian epic Fathers and Sons. I'm smirking right now just imagining one of those addlepated simpletons scratching their heads in confusion as Matt Sazama's genius wit unfolds itself on their television screens. What fools.. how I pity them. ๐
And yes, by the way, i DO have a Morbius tattoo. And no, you cannot see it. It's for the ladies' eyes only- and even then they have to demonstrate that they're within 5 IQ points of my own (preferably lower) beforehand. Nothin personnel kid ๐
