People say this is a "slightly arcade" racer but you can drive through stone walls and it baaaarely slows your car down. It is also required of you to drive through these stone walls during many races. Like, yes, the race goes through stone walls. You must drive through these walls. If you hit them at the wrong angle though? You're thrown into a 180.
Yessir, stone walls. Like I don't know, okay? And if you hit hay bales they will almost stop you entirely even though you would expect them to just explode into dust or something given that you can drive through STONE WALLS and almost every other object in the game with no repercussions. My brain can't comprehend if I'm playing Need for Speed or if I'm playing Grand Turismo and like 5 hours in I've got to say the whole experience has been terrible and I've got to find another driving title even though I'm trying my hardest to latch onto whatever this is. Not at all what I expected.
Also all the voice actors sound like they're in a very young children's TV show and it's kind of weird and off-putting. I know this wouldn't bother 99% of the people in the world but I'm just saying hey, everybody talks like they're on a TV show for babies here.
Like folks I'm just telling you this is a real nuts and gum experience. I like Need for Speed, I like Grand Turismo, but when you cram them together the way this game has it becomes something much worse than either. Like chewing gum and mixed nuts, together in your mouth.
Edit: in case you don't believe me, there is a LEGO RACER DLC for this game. Yes let's race lego cars in a "slightly arcade" racer. Lego cars, you guys. LEGO CARS. What even was this game supposed to be, I don't know, but it sure isn't a realistic driving game that's for sure.
