An excellent, classic style possession movie. Imo, horrors of this ilk tend to fall down on the ending and this is no different. The studio seem to be trying to set up for the next 199 sequels rather than provide a lasting impression of horror. For better endings see the babadook, or hereditary. Horrors don't need sequels. That said, the first 4 5ths of the movie are well shot, acted, and aren't all nonsense jump scares. A special nod to the wee lad playing the possessed boy, and the contortionist sister. Few lines, all well received. Russel crow was phenomenal as per. Supporting priest was a bit meh, along with the mother. Although this may seem like a scathing review, I stand by the 4 stars as these types of possession movies are tricky. Worth a watch
