I've always loved Andrew Davies's work, but Sanditon has stolen my heart for my favorite period piece. The cast, acting, and plot is stellar, and that is a lot coming from me, an ardent fan of Austen's novels. This adaptation absolutely took my breath away, and Theo James as Sidney Parker was pure perfection. I will be devastated if Sidney, Charlotte, and the rest of the characters (especially Mr. Stringer) don't get their much deserved happily-ever-afters in a second season. I hope more people will watch the show in order for Sanditon to garner enough support to warrent another season!
