This movie has more than succeeded in depicting the Chinese society during the Sino-Japanese War before Japanese attacked Pearl Harbour. Casting was brilliant with masterful acting by everyone. Intense story of battle of Changsha intertwined with moving story of a traditional Chinese family. A must see TV series for anyone interested in understanding history of modern China.
