This is cinema as punishment. I watched one episode and couldnโt take any more whipping. I decided I d seen enough when the Underground Railroad was shown as a real train running on tracks underground. Too many modern viewers, unschooled in history will believe this fantasy as fact. The scenes of whippings and S๐๐ were gratuitously graphic and extended. Donโt expose your families to this torture and distortion. Slavery was awful and immoral and ugly but this portrayal is ridiculous.
