Attended a special screening of Midas Man on 7th October at Curzon Cinema Mayfair, what a well written script by Brigit Grant. Jacob fortune Lloyd gives an outstanding performance as Brian Epstein. The film fives a great account of the mastermind & visionary entrepreneur that found so many great acts, the Beatles, as well as Cilla Black, Gerry & The Pacemakers, Billy J Kramer and the Dakotas, as well as promoting bands such as The Who, Pink Floyd & Jimmy Hendrix, Brian certainly had an eye for music talent. The movie shows they funny side of each of the Beatles, as well as great early Beatles music. The Dodge Brothers give a great performance as the skiffle band in the movie performing a rendition of £Rock Island Line in the recreated Cavern Club, how authentic the cavern club was, it was like stepping back into the swinging 60's. The film has three Cameos, two are very obvious, but the third not so unless you look very closely ar the movie. Great Job Studio Pow!! The film Premiere's at FACT Liverpool on 29th October 2024. the right place to hold it, Brian would have approved. The film will be streamed in UK on Amazon Prime Video 30TH October 2024.
