The people who made this movie didn’t watch the first one. And didn’t know what it was about. And didn’t really know what this one was about. The only similarity is the color palette. I guess J is on trial and everyone is singing. Some of it is imaginary, so you expect other parts to be imagined which aren’t. There’s lots of reminding the audience what happened in the first movie which is interrupted by some interpretive song and dance. They talk about things that happened in between 1 and 2 but don’t show us flashbacks or anything. When there are flashbacks they were from the last movie. Honestly, pretty let down. Enough to write all this, which is sayin’ a lot. Totally get why people didn’t like it. I’m not even done watching.
