I quite enjoyed the movie. It had a star-studded cast that played their roles perfectly. However, I'm having trouble seeing the director's vision. It was like David O. Russell was trying to make his own spin of a Wes Anderson film. There is a uniqueness that Wes Anderson mastered completely, that David O. Russell lacks. I've seen his other movies like "Joy" and "Three Kings", all of which have different filming styles. That is commendable to have the ability to be unique with each movie. However, there was something off with the chemistry. I'm not sure if it's the lighting, the script, the interesting camera angles, or all the above, but something feels off about the whole film. It's like the film had a good budget, spent it all of the locations and actors, but forgot to pay for the lighting, script, and camera professionals.
