Trent Boyce

Very good adaptation of both games and novels. Surprisingly pleased with how this show turned out. It has a solid story but is certainly geared towards a few more seasons if I had to guess. This first season functions more as an intro to the characters rather than a development of a huge overarching plot which is hinted at to come throughout the series. The only criticism I can give is that the timeline can be confusing as the show jumps from past to present constantly which makes it difficult to discern the time the events take place. Other than that it's a tremendous first season.

My biggest complaint is the lead actor Brie Larson who seemed very poor for the role. She was unable to fulfill the character and it felt really washed out. The real star was Samuel Jackson who was his usual comedic self and was able to hold the movie together as an interesting character.
