This is one of the best movie made in recent times. Tear jerker, comedy, great musical sets, great acting, and great writing. Good surprises and an instant classic. Best of all it is very clean and your kids will love it. It does not replace the original Willie Wonka. It shows how he began overcoming impossible odds from evil people. Hugh Grant was great in his part. Some may fear a musical. But it is only part singing. The music is upbeat. As a 64 year old plumber man I would not like it so much if it were all music. But it was just one part of the formula that made this plumber dance. Some complain that it did not show his travels from boyhood to a young man starting the greatest chocolate business and how he developed the factory. This leaves room for a prequel to this movie and another movie how he developed his factory with Ompa's. It would show how he built his Worldwide business. But you must see this classic that my wife also 😍 loved.
