I use stagecoach east In Cambridge bus number 7. Buses never show on time, they get canceled without any prior notice. if you have to take a bus in the morning at peak hours to reach office at 9, stagecoach decides to run single decker buses of its usual double decker buses and the driver never stops because it’s filled. Tickets are extreme expensive but more Costly is it has potential to cost you your job because the bus is never on time (hence you are never on time) despite planning to take a bus before your scheduled time. Stagecoach app also stops functioning in between nor does it correspond to actual bus timings running on the road. Not sure if only this bus route in Cambridge works like this or this is in general the stagecoach service throughout Cambridge. There are no ticket machines at the bus stop or inside the bus hence there is no way to buy tickets except in the app or with the driver. Everyone queuing inside the bus to buy tickets from the driver is another reason it always runs late. They use such an outdated technology of buses that there is no screen inside buses or announcements showing what will be the next stop, not is there air cons for the summers or heaters for the winters. There are also no or so less busses that take eternity connecting different nearby villages.
