This game is absolutely great! I've never been an online FPS fan, BF and COD have never been of interest to me, but I'm addicted to HLL as it is nothing like either of the other 2 games mentioned.
This game only truly comes to life when you communicate with your squad, and commander, and is how you can tactically outwit the opposing team, even from the brink of defeat.
Those people complaining about running for 5 minutes to get to the objective, tell your squad lead to set up an OP, or play as support and lay down supplies for them to set up a garrison.
This game is not about your K/D ratio, so stay clear of this game if this is your thing, and you play as a lone wolf.
Some of my most satisfying games have been when playing as engineer, setting up defences, or medic, trying to keep my squad mates alive, and maybe, personally, only killing 1 or 2 enemies all game, but knowing my contribution was vital to victory.
Or, when you and your squad go on a mission behind enemy lines to try and flank them, you may not come across any enemies, but it can be as tense as hell.
Those people who complain about not having confirmation of a kill are missing the point of the realistic approach to combat that this game is trying to achieve.
A great game, but I agree, not for everyone. You cannot just drop in for a quick 20 minute session. The game requires patience, strategy, and communication, to really enjoy it.
