As a classics major I think it's marvelous. One understands some details are compressed for dramatic purposes---still, there's enough here of great interest to make for very high-quality entertainment---for those persons interested in such things. Or go turn on reruns of Married with Children, if that's more your style. If you like superbly filmed and produced deep history, The Spanish Princess delivers.
