Shot with bright colors and sound. Mix of dark and goofy humor. Actors carry you from the light-hearted to the heart breaking with equal skill. Makes one despise nazis, anti-semites, homophobes, misogynists even more. Makes one cherish childhood, hope, and love in difficult times even more. One thing I enjoyed about the film is that it is all believable, with each plot element is something that likely actually happened in that horrible time.
