⚠️SPOILERS ARE MENTIONED IN HERE⚠️
Honestly, while it might not be thattt scary, it’s definitely a movie that MOST FNAF fans can enjoy, and certainly, Im one of them. While I didn’t get jump-scared by anything, I can say that some parts where it gets you stressing REALLY had me stressing. Also the Newton Brothers?? Omg I LOVEDDD the opening soundtrack, it was an absolute bop and I find my self singing it now.
I’m kinda sad some FNAF fans don’t like the movie, but in my opinion, it was definitely worth the 8 years worth of waiting. Scary wise? I’d give it a 4/10. While some parts weren’t really scary to me and I didn’t find myself jumping at the jump-scares,(except maybe for ballon boy, god I hate that stupid thing) some parts will DEFINITELY have you stressing wherever you watch it whether it be in theaters or on Peacock. However I will say the timing of the jump-scares were accurate and well done!
The acting was AMAZING. Although I’d find myself getting a little bit embarrassed at some parts of Vanessa’s dialogue, everyone’s acting was amazing and it truly felt like a FNAF movie and gave me so much nostalgic.
I can see why some people are a bit disappointed in the movie, mainly because of the fort/dance scene and how quick Matthew said “I always come back”
For one, I think the movie does a good job on portraying William as the villain and the kids/animatronics as the victims. Sure they killed people, but that’s because they were manipulated and controlled by William. For the fort scene, I think it was cute and a nice touch to the movie. Either the kids were having a bonding time with Abby, or were just trying to gain her trust to turn her like them, and I personally think it’s a nice touch to the movie.
It’s understandable why some people were disappointed with the famous quote, “I always come back”. Personally, I think Matthew delivered with that line. I saw a theory saying he may have said it quick because he was unsure at the time if he really WAS gonna come back so I’m standing by it. Also, he was literally getting stabbed by the spring locks, so of course he’s going to say it really quick before he “goes”. However I do wish Matthew had more screen time as William Afton, and if there’s another movie, I hope the producers and directors learn from that and figure out a way to gave Matthew Lillard more screen time as William
I think some people fail to notice that the lore isn’t really official or confirmed, but i can see why some people were confused because they’re probably used to the “lore”. The movie definitely is inspired by some parts of the books and the video game lore and I had fun hunting Easter eggs in the movie while I was watching it in theaters!
I was a bit confused on why they made Vanessa William’s daughter instead of Mike and Abby/Elizabeth as the children of William but maybe Mike Schmidt is a different Mike? Idk
I was super happy with the references from the books AND when two special people had their little cameos 👀👀 I also hope the “COME FIND ME” message indicates that there will be another movie since Matthew agreed on making a trilogy for FNAF, and hopefully this movie does well enough.
This movie was amazing, and while it certainly isn’t for the critics who complain about everything, I really loved it and I hope others do too. I will definitely be watching it when it comes out on digital a lot!
