Sorry to say, but this seems like an amateurish attempt from a wannabee Robert Bresson. Mani kaul : I don't know what he was but he was certainly nowhere even remotely close to the genius called Robert Bresson.

A thesis on hypocrisy, hypocrisy of creative people, hypocrisy of elite class, hypocrisy of political activists, hypocrisy of society and so on. The characters are in a situation that forced them to do some introspection and bring to the fore the hollowness that resides beneath their strong surface. It's about the struggle of illusion and reality that these characters are dealing with and it's marvellously presented through an ensemble cast and some taut writing.

Builds up the tension, keeps you engaged, keeps surprising.... These are signs of good films......So prisoners is an interesting film. Villeneuve's treatment, pace and overall temperament and environment of film reminds you of Coen's Fargo.

Bakwaas.....Pakaaaauuuu......comparable to bollywood's gems like Drona...Flying Jatt....Krishh etc.

The film is a classic is now an accepted fact, no needs to reiterate it but what has blown my mind is the extraordinary performance from Sir Anthony Hopkins. Hopkins is unbelievable, such a performance can only be a result of an actor's absolute devotion and utmost sincerity to his craft. Its one of the best lead performance I have seen. Other actors are also very impressive especially James Fox. Watch it to understand might of superior acting and class of quality film making. James Ivory remains a criminally underated auteur.

Watch it for pitch perfect performance of Charlie Hunnam as british explorer Percy Fawcett and breathtaking beauty and mystery of Amszon. Sienna Miller, Robert Pattinson & Tom Holland are also in good form. Overall the film leave you unsatisfied and also a bit disappointed. James Gray has not fully succeeded in keeping the promises he brought into existence.

Probably the best short I have ever seen and perhaps the finest example of conveying so much and so deep in so little time. This 24 minutes short by Farah Nabulsi brings you up close to the trauma, humiliation, stress and danger a Palestinian routinely witness in their daily life so effectively and impactfully that your heart will melt.

It's a warning, this near future imagined by Prayag Akbar has all the chances of becoming a reality for our children. It's impossible to watch the show and push this fear under the carpet and convince ourself that we are just watching a thriller based in some dystopian future. Deepa mehta's execution isn't as top notch as Craig Majin's Chernobyl,. Huma Qureshi is amazing so is Siddhartha and Arif Zakaria and that calm and peace which is there in Rahul Khanna's ever smiling face is another worldly. Deepa has not paid enough attentions on actors playing small parts, their unnatural and artificial acting ruins the whole set-up but still a must watch show no doubts.

Unique Distinctive Disturbing Intense Hardcore A glimpse into the dark and weird side of human mind and an unknown world originated from it.

A poignant and piercing comment on class difference, widening gulf between rich and poor, uneven distribution of wealth, elite class indifference and poors inaibility of keeing their moral compass functioning because of their dire condition. Bong has handled this deep and real issue masterfully, interspersing it with right amount of nuance and subtlety. Like a good poetry evoking its philosophy in the pauses between the lines, bong too makes the film comment without commenting. The characters are never discussing their dilema and plight, but we are constantly thinking about it in our mind, we are constantly throwing empathy at them. Only problem for me was the portrayal of rich family as super gullible and their lonely existence. Its a bit difficult to digest, i felt their portrayal suffering from nuance deficiency. All in all its undoubtedly a great story and a masterfully made film and a very very important one also.
