Began reasonably and had us “in” enjoying the suspense, the era, the characters..but the overacting of BC and the stream of the unrealistic, regardless of the attempted genre of everything goes, lost us almost as quickly as it had us. Too many possible storylines; too many important issues thrown in but under developed, and too many inconceivable happenings detracted from what might have been a worthwhile study of addiction, homelessness and homophobia. The ending ( for we stuck around hoping for something to redeem the worthwhile themes ) was Disneyfied, disappointing and disillusioning. A waste of good ideas, excellent actors and talented artists.
