Absolutely loved reading this true story of heroism and the dedication of the French resistance to help downed Allied airmen survive and be returned safely to England. My father flew on a B-17 during WWII and was shot down over Hungary in February 1945. The detail that went into this book brought the experience home like no other book i have read. Kudos to Susan Tate Ankeny for the research and ability to bring this story to life.
