The Forgotten Army is the web series directed by Bajrangi Bhaijaan fame director Kabir Khan. It is based on the background of World War 2 and the events that led to the formation of the Indian National Army by Netaji Subhash Chandra Bose. At the time of jingoism and ultra-nationalism, this web series is worthy of telling the tale of patriotism. Kabir Khan recreated the war scenes very carefully and they look so authentic. It deals with many emotions of army personnel, and the sacrifices they made for the nation. However, this web series has many flaws like limiting the series to only five episodes that have left many things unsaid. All artists have played their character very well; especially Sunny Kaushal in the role of Kernel Sodhi and TJ Bhanu in the role of Sayama did an amazing job. The background songs and great action sequences keep us investing in the show. As Kernel Sodhi Said in the last episode, "One day People will remember the sacrifice of India National Army". And Kabir Khan paid a wonderful tribute to them by attempting to make this show. In the present context of India, this series becomes much more relevant because, at such time when the chasm between Hindu and Muslim is deepening, this web series is telling us about the values for which soldiers of the Indian National Army sacrificed their lives. As of Kernel Sodhi Said, "The struggle to achieve freedom was relatively easy. That was our battle. The struggle to preserve freedom is much more difficult." So this is the job of the youths of the nation to keep intact the freedom of the country for which our ancestors sacrificed their lives.
