I watched this on a small screen so maybe I missed what some.have seen. To me it was just a hot mess. The childhood sweethearts Phin and Charity play in a mansion so dilapidated that trees are growing into it, walls are missing etc yet it is miraculously restored when he bets rich, a state we never understand. The repetition of songs in different contexts and dance routines don't work.
