Over long. Indulgent, irritating film. Perhaps the film was not true to the book or to the reality of her trip. Animal cruelty.

Smutty jokes and terrible grooming do not make entertaining viewing. A Mohawk, glitter writing on a dog, tacky faux stones glued to ears, uneven cutting, awful clipping are not my idea of "Australia's best groomers". If my dog ended up looking like that Toy Poodle I would be incandescent with rage. Uneven ears, shaved tail and feet shaved too high. Terrible job.

Go and see it. Most enjoyable film, not what I expected, much much better. "You cannot control what happens to you, but you can control your reaction to what happens".

I enjoyed it. Do not listen to the critics, go and see the film for yourself. Staging, dancing and music were good. The lead ballerina as Victoria the White Cat was brilliant. Skimbleshanks the railway cat was also brilliant. Based on the children's poems in Old Possum's Book of Practical Cats.
