SPOILERS!!!
The drama was so good, I was hooked on it for days. Weirdly enough, it's kinda a combination of Assassination Classroom, Hellbound and All of us are dead
But it was so disappointing after episode 6 (the beginning of part 2), as they completely wiped out Won-bin. We never found out what happened to him, he just disappeared. Which I find strange and sad because he was one of the most likable characters yet they cut him off. Even in the last scene, Mr Lee was there but Won-bin wasn't. Its just a bit strange....
I have no idea what the ending was, just because it was so random and the ending was so ambiguous. They took the "was it all a dream??" thing too seriously that you don't really know if it was all just fake. It seemed like the producers wanted to cover the viewers eyes by giving us scenes where everyone is happily together again, when in reality it was not a dream. But like, if you're gonna give a definitive answer to "was it a dream??" (which it wasnt), commit to it? It's just such a disappointing and perplex ending that I didnt even know what to think of it. I do appreciate the funny cuts at the end, but it seemed so contradictory to how it really ended that it just seemed forced and random.
I struggle to understand how, at the beginning of episode 7, they seemed to have gotten so much better at what they do, yet a few eps later, they seem totally incompetent again.. And how do they all fail to kill ONE dude? the dude that was the biggest coward this whole time, he managed to kill so many people yet none of them manage to even scathe him until the very end? HUH???
Also, I wanna know how Duk-Joong got an electric scooter and where it suddenly went...
There's so many questions. But it was a good watch for what it is. I did enjoy it for what it is, it's just mostly the ending.
The characters dont really stand out either tbh. Theyre very baseline characters that rarely have much development. I just know that Kimchi is the main character (but his contributions to the series is very limited). I liked Il-Ha but he was such as generic bully character, but he suddenly dropped it all halfway through the series? It's not a gradual thing, he's just completely lost that title; He'll be threatening sometimes, but his character slowly became more inconsistent.
I know that countries like Korea is especially peculiar about their college exams, but i didnt understand how CSATs are worth risking life for- especially what one of the characters later does when finding out it was cancelled and everything was for naught. Plus it was gonna make a comeback the following year (or whenever the war ended) anyway, so why kill for it eventhough its not completely gone? i dunno, its just weird.
Theres just too many inconsistencies and questions
