Magical, brilliant, addictive, joyful, Seaside Hotel is hands down my favorite series ever! Don't think this show is all light and fluffy considering the above adjectives. S.H. deals with plenty of extremely serious topics such as anti- semitism, war, and gay-bashing, along with all the suspense that goes with them. The series is such a a visual treat. The wardrobe, the food prep, the attention to authenticity, it is mind bogglingly wonderful! And the acting! Were did they find this marvelous ensemble of talent? Heir Weyse sings, plays the piano, and portrays what you know in your bones would be EXACTLY like a film and theatre star of the day. The entire Madsen family.....incredible! And Mrs Fjeldso and sister......even the smaller parts are phenomenally cast. Check out the Countess of Frisjenholme! Anyway, if your taste runs to sophisticated, spectacular foreign language films, WATCH THIS!
