I enjoyed the show, but I do understand most of the criticism I've read in the other reviews and think they are justified. I think people who really enjoy something (especially this day and age) are too quick to call people who make legit critiques incels and women hating just because they don't enjoy a film that is women lead and completely ignore it's faults. I hope the show continues, however, I hope they do take some of the criticism to heart and continue to improve.

As someone who is a huge fun of the original, I didn't think this would live up to that. However, after following along with this version, I have really been enjoying it. I love the animation and action over the original, and the character designs have grown on me. I also love the further exploration this version takes in Vash's history and more detailed explanation as to what him, Knives, and the plants truly are. My only complaint in my opinion is that the story becomes a little too rush, and doesn't leave room to connect with the characters like the original. In my bias opinion, it doesn't live up to the original, but I still recommend watching it as gives you a fresh new take on the story and the world of Trigun.
