I recall reading The Age of Kali about 25 years ago..At that point in time I found the book fascinating in.its details..It was very gripping and lucid..and I remember recommending the book to my friends..Frankly speaking I read many of Dalrymple's books subsequently..but I still regard Age of Kali as his best
