An utterly woeful film, the original novel (that the film is based on) can exist as a piece of fiction but to see it extended to the screen is an utter waste of time and an absolute waste of Film Victoria's funds. Not even the strong cast could persevere through the poor dialogue and direction from Justin Kurzel. All the film achieved was simplifying the complex and compelling story of the Kelly Gang to one about dress-wielding poor mouthed Irish loons on horseback.
