i had heard a lot about this book and the hype that was around it. some reviews also said that it glorified domestic abuse which after reading it, i don’t think is true. it does not glorify it especially after you read the note from the author in the end, you would know. it is written beautifully especially the diary entries, so innocent and beautiful. i could very easily connect with the book and the characters so was easily invested and was able to finish it in a day. a very easy read. the book gets you hooked in a very few pages and engages you instantly. could relate a lot but honestly it isn’t a very monumental or classic book. it’s just a simple story with a twist. thats all. i usually cry over characters and stories but this one failed to get those emotions out of me so there’s that. did not find it as emotional but still it was a pretty fun read. the messaging that the author tried to convey is pretty clear and important. it could be a little difficult to read for people who are suffering from abuse or have suffered from it. not my favourite but i’m glad i read it. overall, it’s a good book.
