Posting this after of year of watching it. Got back into the halo books and it just reminded me how awful the show is IF your a huge fan. If I had recently watched it, I would prob have more negative words for it and less stars. I allmost want to give it 2 stars bc the combat and graphics are really good but they botch what halo actually is so bad that I just can’t. Graphics wise, they capture high charity very well. Now for the bad part. Chief is an emotional wreck.. he’s not stoic whatsoever. None of the games or the books to my knowledge have emotion chips. Even if they do. This show botched the very character that is chief. *which is the most important aspect of Halo* the other Spartans also, are emotional. One even dyes her hair and doesn’t want to fight from what I recall? Back to chief.. chief has a SEX Scene with an ENEMY human traitor… being that as ridiculous as it is, I’ll leave it there. Chief shows his face WAY TOO MUCH. For years all we have gotten was a description of either a young boy, or a grizzled vet as chief. Then they put a pretty boy on screen and refuse to put his helmet on. To keep it short, I’ll get to the worst part. The ending… awesome fight scene but absolutely atrocious to what halo is. Chief basically dies, and Cortana takes over. Meaning takes his concissnous over in its entirety. Simply put. This is not Halo. They nailed the fight scenes and the graphics, but whiffed on the most important aspects of Halo.
