This entire depiction could not be more inaccurate. Let's break this down. First the Comanche woman were gatherers and knew their place as such. Comanche men were the hunters and warriors. This whole woman empowerment thing has no place in a reflection of Comanche history. Inaccuracies are so abundant too...her tomahawk was made of metal?? Her tomahawk would have been made of stone or bone NOT METAL! Prior to European contact the Comanche used bone or stone for their arrow heads. This depiction of a metal tomahawk is SO inaccurate. Also the first Frenchmen known to have met the Comanche were the brothers Pierre Antoine and Paul Mallet in 1739. So yet another inaccuracy. If you're into a ton of inaccuracies and a girl fighting assassin creed style this movie is for you. The concept could have been great if they'd done a little more paying attention to detail and not tried forcing a female hero down our throats. Huge thumbs down!

This movie had me from the 1st moment. It's a story of incredible loss of a child. Family, love, loss again and a mentally ill matriarch and her families grip on an abused woman and the grandchild of the lead characters who will stop at nothing to get their grandchild out of danger. It's set in the 60's when times and people where very different. It's definitely worth the watch.
