Most people seemed to love this movie but I hated it. So disappointed. Nicolas Cage holds his wife's character in contempt from the start, goes against her advising him not to give away the money, then proceeds to emotionally cheat on his wife whilst married. (This goes against what his character is supposedly made out to be, honest and full of integrity)
Fonda also completely disregards him being married and asks to hang out and dance... since when did cheating become romantic? 🤔
Myself and my partner were expecting romance but agreed it wasn't one of his better movies.
Hollywood made up the whole story apart from the main bit of a cop and waitress splitting a lottery win. The real people both had marriages that were faithful and successful.
