If your looking for Black Hawk Down - you will be sadly disappointed. Strong start but then loses its focus direction and any semblance of worth. Alex Garland can write and often direct. But I will be clear- in the middle of the film I had no idea who any character was. Didn't care and for 20 mins of the mid section didn't have an idea what this film was. Constant scenes of unknown wounded. I'm DONE with this review other than... Alex Garland took on a war film and failed.. This is no ' Black Hawk' Down. It's not terrible but for a war film it's below basic. The visuals are bland the direction terrible the stakes laughable. If you fancy a proper war masterpiece go watch Black Hawk Dawn -Platoon- Apocalyspe Now -Savong Private Ryan - The Thin Red Line Because Warzone is subpar trying to live up to their names
