I haven't played the game yet, but I came across a gameplay video on YouTube. I was hooked on the story after twenty minutes and sat through the entire video playtime. The story appears to be loosely based on Will Smith's iRobot, in my opinion.
Due to a glitch, the androids designed to serve human masters turn sentient beings, resulting in anarchy. The graphics and plot are both tastefully done for a 2018 game. Three distinct deviants and their stories collide at precisely the right moment.
The reveal of the little girl as an android at the end was a pleasant surprise and a clever one, but her death soon after the world realized coexistence is the only option must have broken a few hearts. Although there isn't much to review or recommend in 2022, if you're looking for reasons to play Detroit: Become Human, order now and get started.
