40 minutes in: If I wanted to watch amateur acting, movie clichés, overdrawn intimate scenes and fake tits I'd go on pornhub. Only plus side is that the gore is not the worst I've ever seen. Still I don't get how most reviews I've seen are above 3 stars. It's not the worst slasher film I've ever seen (that title goes to Blood and Honey) but I'd say I found even Amp House Massacre a tad more entertaining. 80 grueling minutes in: The "11 year old" sounds like a 7 year old and the "16 year old" looks way too old (along with having the most stereotypical character). The bad acting makes the gore 75% less shocking. The screams are not a least bit convincing. Everyone makes the most typical idiotic horror movie decisions. They're only starting to give context halfway through the movie. Did I doze off whenever the lesbian brunette met Kevin or is the fact that she somehow knows his name just a plot hole? At this point the only character I like is killer #2. Whoever wrote this has very little knowledge of human anatomy (gay dude is somehow vomiting blood when he's just getting his skin cut). Pretty sure the code snippet in the steam chat does absolutely nothing lol (looks like unformatted JS). Ending: The kid did not seem traumatized in the slightest by the fact that he helped his dad kill a man then watched him beat another one almost to death...

5 minutes into the movie (2 of which were just credits) and I'm already laughing at how terrible it is. The acting is unconvincing (I feel no emotions when I look in the actors' eyes, even when they're about to "die") and the CGI looks like it was made with the first version of the first ever 3D and video editing program. I can already tell the science in this movie is inaccurate seeing how fast the volcano went from 0 to 1000.

I'm sorry but this is by far the worst disaster movie I've ever seen. ⠀ I couldn't understand half of the dialogue because the actors speak too fast without articulating. ⠀ You don't need to study physics to know that the movie is scientifically inaccurate (even worse than 2012). ⠀ I'm pretty sure it's impossible or at least unlikely to get electrocuted by cutting a cable with a hatchet as the handle is made of WOOD (feels like the handle would've at least "absorbed" most of the electricity). Another character touched electrified metal with his bare hands for over 10 seconds and it just dazed him a bit but Pam cut an electric cable in half a second with a wooden-handled hatchet and nearly died. ⠀ The CGI was not on point at all and at some point, when Pam was running through the hall with the big pipes towards the end, you could very clearly see some green screen spills around her. I don't know much about physics but I do know some basic After Effects tricks to get rid of green spills. ⠀ The characters' personalities and attitudes were all over the place. It was hard to understand why anyone felt/reacted the way they did. ⠀ Some of the characters pretty much had no purpose in the story (ex: the old man). ⠀ The plot moved in such a weird way that I got confused at some point (did they do a flashforward after Josh left Pam?). The story felt overall rushed. ⠀ The scene in France was obviously not filmed in France and the actors were obviously not francophones: • The security guard spoke with a heavy non-French accent and used words that simply don't have the right meaning in French (you don't "deactivate" a car). • Google translate would've done a better job translating in French the sign Josh was slammed into by the security guard. It was full of syntax and grammar mistakes. ⠀ The plot itself is an apocalyptic cliché which I wouldn't have minded if the rest of the movie was better. Thank god I watched it for "free" (Prime)
