If you’re looking for a short film that packs a punch, A Good Day Will Come is it. Amir Zargara’s storytelling is intense and haunting, focusing on Arash, a wrestler dealing with way more than what happens in the ring. Caught in the political tension and protests of his country, Arash tries to stay focused, but his mind is elsewhere, and you can feel that. The visuals are strikingly grey and dark, representing the heaviness of his reality, and the melancholic score is spot on. Sia Alipour’s portrayal of Arash is powerful—he doesn’t have to say much for you to feel his struggle. Even in its short runtime, the film conveys a strong message about resilience and the hope for a better future. This is one short film I’ll remember for a long time.
