As a retired physician I was interested in the title Polio an American story. I am half way through the book and I can honestly say it is a great read. Not only does the author present a historical timeframe of world events he discusses Polio's major part in these events. Plan to present this book to my grand children with the hope it might plan a seed to consider medicine as a profession.
