Nomadland was made by talented people, no doubt, but I was left cold. There didn't seem to be any arc or change from beginning to end; it was lethargic from the opening credits to the ending ones, and I don't know what the purpose of making it was. It's done in such a realistic way, but actual life lacks the drama that makes movies worth watching. I know many people like Nomadland, but to me it felt like spending nearly two hours observing water dripping from a faucet.
That said, one of my best friends loved the movie, thought it is brilliant. That is the world. We are all right in our own ways.
