When I watched this movie with my English class while we were studying Insitutional Racism And Marxism, I was left speechless by how well written and illustrated this movie actually is, in fact, I was so invested I didn’t even realize the ending and expected the movie to go on. Paul is one of the strongest and heart warming protagonists ever his ultimate will to save his family and others from the Hutus despite having no power, when the United Nations and others turned their backs against him leaving him in a vulnerable position he didn’t give up and kept on doing whatever it takes to succeed, to make it out safely. This film overall is a masterpiece and it heavily reflects on the past, highlighting the oppression and social injustice black people had to go through.
